  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt? According to the little counter thing Iv'e been here for 6 years. Woo!

  2. What does your username mean? - The Draygon part is because of an old nickname I gave myself yonks ago (and I like dragons) The Ebony part is because I think ebony is a very pretty wood... and I needed something to add onto Draygon

  3. Describe yourself in three words. - Kind, creative, crazy

  4. Are you left or right handed? - Righty!

  5. What was your first deviation? - Ye gods, I'm not sure... I think it was one of my SGA fanfics: Friends and Enemies

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create? - These days I do a lot of fanart for World of Warcraft... given I used to do a lot of fanart for SGA I guess not much has changed. Though I also love sewign and painting.

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? - Either realistic drawing or costume making and I include armour in that!

  8. What was your first favourite? More fan art! This time from one of my close friends  Wraith versus Goa'uld by Draco-Stellaris

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? - I tend to favourite art that either feels special to me or just grabs me so much I want ot keep staring at it.

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? - ITs a toss up between Draco-Stellaris and VanHinck But there are far too many really.

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? - I'm gonna be meeting :iconnamefail: and :iconcaptainwhatshisface: soon! *happydance* But I think I'd really love to meat Talia Maria and Myrr some day. And DS!

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? - Fellow dA's have impacted my life in both good and bad ways. I've had fallings out with some which turned hostile. And Iv'e also been encouraged and supported by others. All in all, I think people on dA are what gave me more confidence in my art.

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art? - These days Manga Studio, graphics tablet and lots of tea.

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? - My head. Its getting it out of there that's the tricky part.

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? - The feeling when an artist you admire comments on your work. Oh! and winning a contest from a stock artist once!

First of all...

Good grief its been a while! How is everyone? Still there? Still alive? (now that song is stuck in my head...)

I ain't dead

Yes, contrary to popular belief, I am still around. I have just been inactive, ill and.. well scared to come back and post here actually.

Life for me changed after uni and slowly so did my interests as I slowly tried to pull myself back together after the mess that was my final year. And my life keeps changing, some for the good (like by wonderful other half :iconbenzibubz:) others less good... such as my arthritis getting worse.

Other changes include getting into World of Warcraft. Yes I have joined that huge MMO giant and I love it. If there is anyone out there who plays come say hi to Moonglade EU horde side! (alliance will also be said hi to but the 'hi' may take the form of lots of arrows...) As such, I am going to try and get over one of my biggest mental art blocks which is to draw my own characters. I really struggle to draw my own characters and that sucks. So expect some stuff with that, and possibly even a comic (if my computer would stop trying to kill it). To add to this, I'm finally getting more into digital painting! Probably could use a better tablet and I've been told/yelled at in livestreams I watch to use Sai instead of photoshop but that's stuff to look into.

And another thing...

Expect more art. It won't all be what I used ot do but sin't that part of the joy of art? To change and adapt.
Also, these are awesome people, go check out there stuff!

First of all...
How've you all been? Up to much? How was Christmas? And New year? Ah, well that's something I suppose. Oh really? Well that is something isn't it?

So what have I been up to?
Wow, third year is manic. I've barely had a moment to myself, let alone produce any art. I feel kinda bad about that. I've got a fair amount of writing and art work gathering dust in my harddrive and sketch book but I've just not had time to polish them and upload them. Even more that still need to be created but I'm just lacking in time :( Its really horrific how much work there is! And illness has also been a huge knock to my creativity. I'm not sure if it will improve any time soon, we'll have to see.

But this is my final year of uni, and I plan to take a year out afterwards to recover/get work experience. Probably be living in Edinburgh, we'll have to see. Have lots of essay work between here and then, health permitting. Damn my department!

And another thing...
Had to go to the out of hours doctors yesterday as the chest infection that I had been diagnosed with wasn't clearing up. While I was in the doctor''s office, we got a knock on the door and told we should probably stay in there for a bit because there was a guy with a gun in the reception and that the police were on their way. Doctor then told me to head over to hospital to get some tests done too. So was stuck in hospital for several hours while they waited to get the results of blood tests and a chest X-ray. The result? Probably a viral infection and I could go home, but not allowed to travel back to hull by train on Thursday like I had planned.

This will require some rethinking....

First of all...
Lots of change again. Back to uni very soon and into my final year (:fear: eek!!) which is apparently goign to be the toughest and buisiest year yet (:fear: double eek!! :fear:) So if there's not much activity from me, you now know why. I'll be dead from uni work :faint:

Someone wack past me on the back of the head
Recently I was going through my old art work from school. It brought back a lot of old memories (not many good though) but many of hte ideas and drawings made me think 'hey, I might be able to do something with those now'. It also reminded me of the pieces of creative writing I had done for English over the years that I could maybe salvage as well.

So I went looking for those pieces of writing and scanned in pictures from art.

And they were nowhere.

Because on the day I was officially finished school I came home and deleted all trace of my school existence from my computer.

Like an idiot.

I know why I did it. In my final year at school my teachers bullied me to the point where I was convinced my own work was awful and they threw me off their respective courses because they didn't want a low grade on their records rather than actually try and teach. I'm not aiming for a sob story here but when I finished school I wanted to remove all trace of those events from my life. So I deleted all my school work files from my computer, even though in the back of my mind I knew I wanted to keep hold of some of those pieces. I really regret doing it now.

I need a time machine now. So I can wack my younger self on the back of the head for being a numpty and so I can take a USB pen drive and copy the stuff over to bring back to the future.

Spare Tardis anyone?

And another thing...
I have a cold. It is annoying.

And my subscription is about run out.... bugger. Ah well.

First of all...
Edinburgh Fringe Festival is on again! Which means lots of fantastic shows, the wonderful city of Edinburgh, lots of walking around, interesting stalls... rain, more rain, camping, camping in rain, lots of walking, hills, excessive amounts of people, aching muscles and joints from lots of walking and rain....

Translation: gonna be knackered but inspired. Hopefully :D

Someone needs to come along and poke me until I work
I'm serious! Trying to stay motivated and get on with ANYTHING is become a real struggle. I have to do lists coming out of my ears but can never be bothered to do any of them, its getting stupid now.

Does anyone have any advice on how to stay motivated? Or even just techniques to calm down so I don't have a freak out when I realise I'm about to go back to uni and have no time for anything?

If people could recommend good music, that would also help.

Of course it does mean that when I do finally get motivated to do stuff, inbox spam will be inevitable :D Hope you realise this.

And another thing...
Back to uni in September, and this year is going to be the busiest and most stressful yet. Should be interesting, provided we're using the Firefly definition of interesting...

Oh god, oh god, we're all going to die.
